I'm not sure that anyone besides the grandparents really want to see my daughter squinting into the morning sun on our unfortunately-east-facing front porch, but I simply could not let this day go by without a post.
Today is Lucy's first day of First Grade.
*sigh*
And here she is among the masses of kids and parents creating The Chaos of the first day of school.
From 9 until 4, five days a week, someone else gets to enjoy her smile, her creativity, her silliness, and to help fill her eager mind. As much as I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunity for her to get an education so close to home, I can't help but feel just a little bit sad that this day came way too fast for my liking.

I can't believe how early you guys start school. I also can't believe that Lucy is in the 1st Grade.
Miss you guys so much!
Of course we want to see :) Such a beauty. School doesn't start until Sept 7th out here.
WoW! I can't believe she's in 1st grade! That's a huge milestone!
She could not be more precious if she tried!! What a cutie pie!
Sometimes the grandparents show off the pictures to other family. Such cute kids!
